Miss Floppy is also waiting for a new home. There have been 2 ladies interested. She is very playful and loves to run. She is getting better at walking on the leash, but still pulls when she wants to go somewhere. She is now indoor trained, since she has been inside with Momma during the heart worm treatment period. She is a sweet, gentle, playful girl. I know she misses being out in the pin to run and play, but she does not like being alone and would only howl if out there alone.

Miss Floppy and Momma need homes
Momma was returned to me the day after Sissy went to her new home. The family feared that she was having a bad reaction to the heart worm treatments and would not survive. They did not want to have her pass away around the children, so they returned her to me. She has since been doing fine. I took her in for the remaining treatments and she is doing well. She is currently on day 25 of the 30 days. We will not know how successful the adulticide treatment was for 6 months.
Sissy has a new home
Sissy was adopted about 1 1/2 months ago. She lives about 45 minutes from here. She has a new friend, his name is Tana and he is from Alaska! She gets to go jogging every morning and I believe they bring them inside each evening for treats. Just last weekend she went to the beach for the first time. They told me that she was afraid of the waves!
I miss her very much and still cry from time to time. I did not realize how attached to her I had gotten. I have been out 2 times to visit and check up on her progress.
Here are some photos from the day I delivered her to her new home.

Miss Floppy |
Miss Floppy is sweet and gentle in nature and loves to play. She would really like to have a playmate. A little shy at first, but she is also curious and will come up to check you out. She is always the one that instigates play. In addition, she enjoys playing in water. She will fish out their toys when I place them in the pool and when I put ice in their water, she will come up, plunge her nose in the water and stir the ice around. Miss Floppy was born with a small hole in her heart which causes a heart mummer, however it does not require any medication. The specialist only recommended that she be seen by a vet every 6 months so that the mummer can be monitored. She is leash trained but will pull when she wants to go some where. She rides in a vehicle pretty good. She has always been outside, although I am begining to bring them inside, she will need to be trained for indoor living. She weighs between 70-75 lbs, is heart worm free, spayed and current on all vaccinations.

Sissy |
Sissy is a very shy girl. I named her Sissy because she is afraid of any thing and any one she is not familiar with. She will bark, but has never gotten vicious or mean. She just gets really nervous and will keep a good distance between herself and strangers. When out for her walks, when a neighbor comes out, she will sit refusing to go by a stranger. Then when she does decide to walk by, it will be quickly. She is good and well behaved. She will sit when I tell her and come when I call and whistle. She loves attention and will roll onto her back for me to pet her. She also enjoys being brushed and will push Miss Floppy out of the way so that she can be brushed first. She also loves to go for her walks and gets excited when she sees me comming out with the leash. Sissy will require several visits so that she can become familar with you and trust you, before she goes to her new home. She weighs 85 lbs +. She is spayed, heart worm free and current on all vaccinations.

Still Need Homes for Three

I still have three girls looking for forever homes! They would love to have a yard to run around in and a family that will lavish love and attention on them. They all enjoy going for walks and are very playful. They are all current on their vaccinations and have all been spayed. I keep them on Iverheart Max or Heartgaurd Plus and K-9 Advantix every 30 days.
In this photo, Miss Floppy and Sissy are sitting for treats. Momma is in the background, she is camera shy.
Momma is a sweet and gentle girl, approximately 2 - 3 years old. She is leash trained and loves to go on long walks. She is very playful. She weighs 80 lbs and has a thick coat. She was a good mom to all of the pups, keeping them safe while living out in the woods. She has been indoor trained and rides in a car real good. She is an escape artist, so precautions will need to be taken.
Sissy is a shy girl. She definitely earned the name "Sissy" She is afraid of things she is unfamiliar with, that includes people. She will shy away and bark, but never gets
mean or growls. Like the other members of her family, she is playful and enjoys balls. She is also a digger and digs holes to lay in. She loves attention and pushes the others out of the way so she can get brushed first. She is 1 yr old, weighs 75 lbs. She walks on a leash, but will pull. She has ridden in a car several times without any problem. She has always been outside, so will need to be trained to live indoors. Anyone interested in adopting her should come to visit several times to allow her to become familiar with them before taking her home.

Miss Floppy, like her mom, is a sweet gentle girl. She really loves to play and is usually the instigator of play.
She will nip at me when I go into the pen to get me to play with her. She will be happiest if she has a playmate. She loves water. I have a small pool that I leave out in the pen and will put all of their toys in the pool. Miss Floppy is always the one that fishes them out. I take ice out to them on hot days and place it in their water and she will come up, plunge her nose into the water and stir the ice around. She will sometimes fish out a piece of ice, but it is usually Sissy that will eat it. Miss Floppy was born with a small hole in her heart, it does not require medication or surgery. However, she should be seen by a vet at least every 6 months so that they can monitor the mummer to ensure it is not getting worse. She is 1 yr old, weighs 70 lbs. Walks on a leash and has taken several trips in a car with no problem. She has always been outside and will need to be trained to live indoors.

3 Still Available for Adoption
I have three female Husky/Malamute mix available for adoption. They are all on a monthly regiment of Iverheart and Advantix.

Sissy is very skittish. She is afraid of new people. She will require someone that can come out everyday to visit with her and allow her to get to know them. She loves attention and once she gets to know someone she will come up right away for some loving. She is almost 1 year old, weighs 78lbs, is current on all vaccinations, spayed and heart worm free. She walks on a leash, but will pull sometimes. She is ready to be adopted once she finds that special person that is willing to come get to know her.

Miss Floppy loves to play and will nip at you to get you to play with her. She is the instigator of all the games! She loves to be chased. She will want a playmate. She walks with her tail curled up over her back when she is happy. She is almost 1 year old, weighs 74 lbs, is current on all vaccinations and heart worm free. She is scheduled for spaying on 3/11/10. Miss Floppy has a heart mummer due to VSD and an aortic stenosis, which was a birth defect. This will require close monitoring by a vet every 6 months. She walks really good on a leash and will be available for adoption 3/23/10.
Momma is very camera shy, it is hard to get a good photo of her! Like Miss Floppy, she loves to play and has a gentle nature. She is indoor trained, rides good in a car and get along well with other dogs. She will want a playmate as well and she loves to go on long walks. She is about 2 years old, weighs 75 lbs, is current on all vaccinations and is scheduled for spaying on 3/11/10. She is heart worm positive and will be starting her heart worm treatments 3/24/10, if my finances will allow.
